Why I Built Notify.domains
After a successful decade in corporate America, I built iSixSigma.com into an award-winning B2B media company serving over 600,000 monthly readers—an experience that showed me the power of a well-chosen domain name.
Following the sale of iSixSigma in 2007, I spent fifteen years on the inside of the domain industry. I founded DomainSherpa and interviewed hundreds of domain name investors. I then founded DNAcademy to teach domain name investing; GoDaddy acquired it, and I ran it as their Director of Education.
I’ve watched tons of people try to acquire domain names and fail because they didn’t have the right information at the right moment. Registrars don’t publicize which auction partners they use when a domain expires. Some sales marketplaces are completely hidden from plain view. Expiration timelines differ by top-level domain. Most people just guess and lose.
Nobody else has built a tool quite like this because very few people understand both the technical side and the human side of how domain names actually change hands. I do—and I built that into Notify.domains.
