Use Cases

People use Notify.domains to catch opportunities and avoid surprises. You can monitor domains you own or domains you want. The same monitoring and alerts work for both. Here are the main ways customers use the product.

Track a dream domain

Add domains you want to buy. We watch status, expiration, and listings. When the domain moves toward availability or shows up on a marketplace or auction, you get notified. You decide when to act; we make sure you do not miss the change.

Protect domains you own

Monitor your own portfolio for registrar changes, status issues, expiration dates, and DNS or SSL problems. Get alerted before a domain drops or gets into redemption. Many teams use this as an extra layer on top of registrar reminders.

Price and listing alerts

We track listings and prices on Afternic, Sedo, and other marketplaces, plus several auction platforms. We add sources over time for broader coverage. When a domain is listed or the price changes, you see it. Useful for investors and anyone waiting for a better price before buying.

Brand and client domains

Track variations of your brand (e.g. .com if you own .net), client domains, or names you want to protect. One account can mix owned and unowned domains. Organize with notes so you can tell at a glance what each domain is for.

Historical record

Every change we detect is stored. You can review the full history for any domain in its History tab. Handy for audits, understanding what happened before a sale, or checking when DNS or nameservers changed.

No action on your behalf

We never modify your domains, place bids, or list domains for sale. We only monitor and notify. You take action at your registrar, marketplace, or auction. That keeps you in control and avoids any risk of us changing something by mistake.
