Gname Buy-It-Now Inventory and Auctions Now on Notify.domains

If you buy, sell, or catch domains through Gname.com, you already know it is more than a registrar. Based in Singapore, Gname is a major international registrar with a strong Asia-facing aftermarket: its own buy-it-now inventory and its own auction pool, including release-style inventory that only exists on Gname. Until now, those listings did not sit next to Afternic, Sedo, GoDaddy Auctions, DropCatch, and SnapNames in one place while you tracked a domain.

They do now.

What shipped

Gname is live on Notify.domains for both aftermarket paths. When a domain you monitor is in Gname’s buy-it-now inventory, you see it on the Marketplaces tab with current bid (or an in-process auction with no bids yet), end time, and a link to the live auction on gname.com.

We only surface Gname-native inventory. That means Gname’s own buy-it-now inventory and Gname’s own auctions, not partner listings that happen to appear in a broader feed. If the opportunity is exclusive to Gname, that is what we show.

You get the same alert pipeline as our other venues: instant email, Slack, Telegram, or webhook when a listing appears, when the headline price moves, or when an auction clears. Near the close, hot watch tightens polling so bid and end-time updates stay current without you refreshing the page.

No new setup. If you already monitor a domain, open your dashboard, pick the domain, and check Marketplaces and Auctions. Gname appears alongside the partners you already know when we have data for that name.

Why this matters

Domain aftermarkets are not one shelf. A name can sit in Gname’s buy-it-now inventory, or move through a Gname-pre or user-release auction, while other US-centric feeds stay quiet. If you watch Asia-Pacific inventory, use Gname for registration or backorders, or track client names that sellers list only there, missing Gname means missing a window where the domain is already for sale or already bidding.

We still apply the same auction-versus-marketplace rules you already have. When a domain is in a bid-style auction and also shows an older BIN elsewhere, the dashboard tells you to use the auction. Gname participates in that logic like DropCatch and GoDaddy Auctions. For background on auction types and timing, see domain auctions explained.

What you will see in alerts

Buy-it-now headlines look like our other marketplace rows: a clear USD ask when the domain is listed. Auction headlines look like our other auction rows: price and UTC end time when bids exist, or Auction with an end time when the listing is live but no bid has been placed yet, so you are not misled by a fake $0.00.

Supporting fields on the dashboard (next bid where available, listing links) help you act. The headline row is what drives notifications.

Who this helps

Investors watching Gname-native inventory. Brokers tracking client names that sell through Gname’s marketplace or release auctions. Founders and operators who already hold or catch domains at Gname and do not want a separate browser tab for every watched name.

If you are new to drop catching and backorders, pair this with how domain drops work and how domain backorders work. Gname is another venue in the lifecycle, not a replacement for watching grace, redemption, and pending delete on names you care about.
